Homemade Teriyaki Chicken and Fried Rice



Here is another great staple to have when making dinner! It's super yummy, EASY and adds variety to your meals! All thanks to my mother in law for teaching me, now I am going to teach it to you! This Teriyaki sauce is so good and saves you a lot of money. If you can make things from scratch, you will save yourself so much money and get so much for your money than if you were to just buy it at the store. So here you go!


TERIYAKI SAUCE

1 Cup Oil

1/3 Cup Soy Sauce (david can't have much soy so we substitute with Tamari Sauce which is gluten free soy sauce)

1/3 Cup Brown Sugar

1/3 Cup Ketchup

1/2 Tsp Garlic

1/2 Tsp Ginger

Blend all together! Marinate chicken in sauce and leave some aside to spread on the chicken once it has been cooked.

Enough for 4-5 Chicken Breasts





FRIED RICE
(amounts vary depending on how much you want to make)

If you have a rice cooker or not, cook 1 cup rice.

In pan cook everything else--

1/4 Cup Butter

1 Cup Ham (optional)

1/2 Cup Peas or carrots (optional)

1/2 Cup Chopped broccoli (optional)

4-5 Green Onions Chopped

1/4 Tsp Ginger

2 eggs - scramble

1/4 Cup Soy Sauce


Melt butter in pan and then cook eggs, veggies, meat in own little sections of pan. then mix together. Add cooked rice and soy sauce. You can add more sauce depending on your liking.
