24 weeks Pregnant

Pregnancy is the biggest waiting game ever but we already made it to the 6 month mark! So when I think of it that way then I realize it's actually going by pretty fast! We've just got this summer to prepare for Baby Swenson then she will be here before we know it! I swear this baby girl is doubling in size everyday now cuz this baby bump is really growing! Sure feels that way.

24 Weeks
Size of an ear of Corn
about 12 in. long
Weighs about 1 1/3 lbs

How far along: 24 weeks! Getting closer to entering the third trimester. It's confusing because you would think that 6 months would be the beginning of the 3rd trimester but it's not. Did you know you are actually pregnant LONGER than 9 months!? 36 weeks = 9 months but 40 weeks is full term! So really pregnancy is 10 months...
Total weight gain: about 15-18 lbs. I have a doctor appointment next week so we shall see! Never have I ever seen the scale that high... I think I might pass David up at the end of this pregnancy! bahahaha It really makes me motivated to get back in shape once baby comes.
Maternity clothes: Yes. My regular clothes fit way too small now unless it's baggy. and ok best piece of clothing I've gotten for pregnancy is a MUUMUU to sleep in! So comfy! All you mommy to be's NEED to get a muumuu.
Stretch marks: nope! Hopefully genetics play in my favor but I am also using essential oils with my lotion to help prevent.
Sleep: My mom had a body pillow that she is letting me use and it really does help! I've noticed a huge difference since using it. It helps my hips and back not ache as much!
Best moment lately: I started working where David works! So we get to work together! We've been wanting to work together FOREVER and now that we get to, it's really a dream come true! I do the videography and photography for the company and it's super fun! Also I know I look pregnant now instead of just looking frumpy haha. I've had several random people just come up to me and ask when I am due and how far along I am :) THIS IS GETTING REALLLLL!
Miss anything: rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping etc. Yes I can go on little hikes and still go on little campouts but it's not the same! We use to do that kind of thing everyday and I miss it!
Movement: yessssss. It's incredible! Flutter here and flutter there. Apparently the placenta is in front so I don't feel her as strong yet as some people do this far along, but my doctor reassured me that I will feel her lots soon!
Food cravings: My whole appetite has increased! I feel like I always need to be eating. nom nom nom.
Anything making you queasy or sick: the smell of pancake batter.....ewwwww
Have you started to show yet: Yes. I swear she is doubling in size everyday cuz I am blowing up like a ballooon! I have a shorter torso and longer legs so I have a feeling this belly might get....HUGE
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor signs: nope
Belly button in or out: In and my tummy sure is getting tighter
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or moody most of the time: Oh the roller coaster of emotions. I can be laughing and crying at the same time! ha!
Looking forward to: My next doctor appointment because they are going to redo the Anatomy Scan cuz little baby Swenson wasn't facing the right way last time so I get to see her again! I am also looking forward to starting to put together the nursery. Also for the day that David will be able to feel our baby move too!

  1. My placenta was in the front too! It was annoying at first cause people could feel their babies who were only like 17 weeks along and I couldn't feel him till like 25 weeks! Soon enough you'll feel her ALL the time...sometimes a little too much ;) you look super cute...yay for pregnancy!

    1. I'm glad Im not the only one! haha Your little boy is so adorable! Thank you so much!!!
