"Because of who you really are,
satan will try to destroy you,
but you can be all you were meant to be if you will be careful."
D&C 93: 24-25
24 And truth is knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come;
25 And whatsoever is more or less than this is the spirit of that wicked one who was a liar from the beginning.
This last week we had a lesson on something that gave me a little more perspective than I had before. How Satan really does know what he's doing and his tactics are very cunning! He uses things that may be TRUE but twists them to give us FEAR. Whereas God has given us TRUTH like commandments and those are based off of FAITH.For example:
BABIES
TRUE TRUTH
Babies are A TON of work Heavenly Father's Children who
Babies are expensive have the potential to become like him.
You will never sleep again (practically) How we get our bodies
Babies are messy Part of God's plan
MARRIAGE
TRUE TRUTH
Marriage takes A TON of work Ordained of God
Marriage takes sacrifice Required to be exalted
Marriage is hard Part of God's plan
BODIES
TRUE TRUTH
Bodies age Our Bodes are Temples
Some are Tall some are Short Bodies house our Spirits
Some are large some are small Our bodies are gifts from God
Some are fat some are skinny Receiving a body is part of God's plan
Some are healthy some are not Need our bodies to become like God
Isn't it funny how satan will take 'TRUE' things and create fear in them therefore steering us away from those divine commandments from God? Satan is sneaky, and man does he know how to persuade us.
When was the last time you embraced the TRUTH about your body??
Fear based decisions are always bad decisions especially if they are based on TRUE instead of TRUTH.
D&C 50: 23-24
24 That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light; and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day.
Remember there is a difference between TRUE and TRUTH. Satan will disguise it but you'll be able to tell by FEAR and FAITH.
Oh my goodness I loved this post. So glad I stumbled upon it. :)
