Happy New Year

2013. Wow! I can't believe it's already the new year! It's almost been exactly one year since I officially met my sweet Dave. 2012 was the best year of my life and it's crazy to think that a year ago at this time I had not even the slightest clue where my 2012 year was headed. I wonder what's in store for the coming year for us. So of course we set our new years resolutions and take one day at a time :) I love GOALS! I love working towards something and the feeling of accomplishing it. Dave is such a goal oriented person and that's one thing that really attracted me to Dave. It think it's important to be motivated and driven. If you want something, then go out and get it! I truly believe you can do anything  you put your mind to. I am really excited for the new year and for the goals that Dave and I have made. On new years eve we spent the night in... we are party animals I know. haha. But no, it was actually the best! A nice romantic evening to spend our first new years together. We made a nice dinner and set our goals and made vision boards! If you have never heard of a vision board/dream board, it's where you post your goals so you can see them everyday. We got two huge pin boards and hung them up on the wall  that's across from our bed so we wake up to it everyday! We pinned pictures of things we want and things we want to accomplish.
Here are some of the goals I have personally and that we set together:

  • Train for my first Triathlon! The Spudman! Dave is way into this kind of thing and I've never done anything like it! So I'm pumped. It's a beginners triathlon, a 6 mile run, 25 mile bike ride and 1 mile swim...down stream. yay! I'm way excited! The race is at the end of July.
  • Set our fitness goals. Go to the gym 5 times a week. We got passes to Golds Gym at the end of the year and have loved going!
  • We made our financial goals :) With how much we want to be making monthly and annually.
  • We made goals with getting out of debt with our car and student loans.
  • Go to the Temple twice a month.
  • Read our scriptures together everyday.
  • We decided on the area we want to settle in once we have a house and house goals (longer term goal)
  • Our future cars we want (long term goal) I want to eventually get the Honda Element and Dave wants Outback Subaru.
  • We started a duo band and have a goal to post two songs a month to youtube for practice.
  • Write our own songs
  • Release an album together (long term goal)
  • Go to open mics together
  • Have our own show to perform at venues like The Velour

And that's a few of our goals that we have set! New years resolutions are so fun and get you motivated. I am so excited for this coming year and I feel so blessed I get to spend it with Dave :)
